Do you have a musical instrument you’d like to donate? Do you want us to pick it up at your home or office?
Want the instruments to go to a wonderful cause — to New York City schoolchildren in underprivileged neighborhoods?
Are your instruments in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Riverdale, or lower Westchester?
If so, we’ll arrange a pickup of your donated instruments and place them in low-income New York City public schools and in the hands of the children we serve.
MusiCan, founded in 2009, is a nonprofit that provides music programs to children in underprivileged neighborhoods in New York City’s public schools. We are a 501(c)3 charity and can provide a receipt for your donated items.
Guitars, electric keyboards or digital pianos, bass guitars, drum sets, drum pads and small drums. Amplifiers. Horns (trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute, oboe, clarinet);
Strings (violin, viola, cello, ukulele, string bass);
DJ equipment: mixers, controllers and interfaces, turntables, vinyl, microphones, speakers, and mike stands.
For our music programs, we’re in need of late-model computer equipment (both Mac and Windows) for Garage Band instruction. Laptops and desktops both.
If you have something unusual, like an accordion, just ask. If we can find a home for it with the kids, we will.
Acoustic pianos and organs.
