Do you have an instrument you’d like to donate?
Want it to go to a wonderful cause — to New York City schoolchildren in underprivileged neighborhoods?
Are the instruments in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Long Island (Hamptons, Montauk)?
If so, we’ll arrange a pickup of your donated instruments and place them in low-income public schools and in the hands of the children we serve.
MusiCan, founded in 2009, is a nonprofit that provides music programs to children in low-income neighborhoods in New York City’s public schools. We are a 501(c)3 charity and can provide a receipt for your donated items.
We need: guitars, electric keyboards, drum sets, electric drums. Amplifiers. Horns (trumpets, saxophones, trombones, flutes). Strings (violins, violas, cellos, ukuleles, bass guitars). If you have something unusual, like an accordion, just ask. If we can find a home for it with the kids, we will. Our dream list? A baby grand piano — we two Title 1/low-income public schools with the space that would love one!
To proceed, fill out the contact form below. We respond within 2 to 4 hours, seven days a week. Pickups can be arranged within a short time frame.
