Do you have a musical instrument you’d like to donate? Do you want us to pick it up at your home or office?
Want the instruments to go to a wonderful cause — to New York City schoolchildren in underprivileged neighborhoods?
Are your instruments in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Riverdale, or lower Westchester?
If so, we’ll arrange a pickup of your donated instruments and place them in low-income New York City public schools and in the hands of the children we serve.
MusiCan, founded in 2009, is a nonprofit that provides music programs to children in underprivileged neighborhoods in New York City’s public schools. We are a 501(c)3 charity and can provide a donation receipt for items given.
Guitars, electric keyboards or digital pianos, bass guitars, drum sets, drum pads and small drums. Amplifiers. Horns (trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute, oboe, clarinet).
Strings (violin, viola, cello, ukulele, string bass).
DJ equipment: mixers, controllers and interfaces, turntables, vinyl, microphones, speakers, and mike stands.
For our music programs, we’re in need of late-model computer equipment for Garage Band instruction.
If you have something unusual, like an accordion, just ask. If we can find a home for it with the kids, we will.
Acoustic pianos and organs.
